The concept of the audiovisual work explores the symbiosis of plants and rust. Biological plant rust is a fungal disease that manifests on the leaves, stems, or flowers of various plant species. Rust spores cover plant surfaces with unexpected spots and growths, deforming leaves and altering their colors. They symbolize living textures of transformation.
This interaction becomes a metaphor for the constant change within our environment and ourselves. Rust represents not decay, but transformation- the intersection of life and decomposition, where the beauty of creative adaptation lies.
The work invites viewers to observe their surroundings, to look closely at slow yet inevitable processes, and to learn from nature’s dynamics and its ability to create even from decay.
