Observatory

Observatory is an experimental art installation I did for Vilnius Gallery Weekend 2020 (Lithuania). It was exhibited at the former Vilnius University observatory, which currently functions as the reading room. The task was to represent diverse Vilnius art institutions as individual elements in the whole Cosmos.
I proposed the idea to express it as a complex root system, which represents the invisible interconnected Universe around us. Concept of the root system where individual art institutions are seen as interconnected and interdependent with each other. All the objects were fabricated manually with simple materials focusing on experimentation processes and spontaneity rather than cad.
